Waze – Free GPS Navigator

I haven’t been updating lately as  problem with my leg has made sitting for more than a few moments a literal pain.

One thing I have been playing a bit with lately is Waze. Waze is a free GPS Navigator for Android, iPhone, Symbian and other smartphones.

I have to admit, one reason it interests me is that Australia has barely been mapped, yet, which means I’ve been able to be part of the whole mapping part of it.  This, of course, means that if you’re in Australia, you won’t get much guidance yet.  But if the mapping part interests you, you can get in on the ground floor, as it were.

One thing I find fascinating about it, is that if you have Waze switched on, even if it’s not guiding you, it still reports back on your route, and this helps improve the maps already in the system.

I’ll write more on it later when I’ve had more time to play.  This is more a heads-up, in case anyone is interested.
