Fallout: New Vegas – Old World Blues – Are We There Yet?

Old World Blues is done, dusted, and complete.  Once I’ve done this entry this will no longer be the “Fallout: New Vegas” Blog.  Until Lonesome Road is released, anyway …

We finally meet Mobius, the “rogue” Think Tank.  Of course, he’s not such a cardboard cutout “evil genius” and is, in his own twisted way, trying to save the world from the other Think Tanks.  And probably save them from the world too.

He’s just as screwed up as they are, in many ways due to his own actions, but retains a little more awareness of things than they do.  Given that, straight out killing Mobius didn’t seem an option.  Nor, come down to it, did killing the other Think Tanks.  While I couldn’t call any of them “good”, it would almost be like kicking a puppy as they’re just so … pathetic.

Oh, and I found my brain.  You wouldn’t think something like that would slip your mind would it?  Unless, I suppose, you don’t have a brain …

Having found it was only half the problem solved.  It didn’t really want to rejoin me and took a bit of convincing.  If you don’t often argue with your own brain, I suspect this might be a little disconcerting.  But very, very amusing.

So, it’s done.  Apart from the wonderful atmosphere throughout, one of the best parts is that you can return at any time you like.  I admit, that’s one thing that … well, annoyed is too strong a word … irritated me, let’s say:  that after Dead Money and Honest Hearts there was simply no way to return if you felt like it.  Curiously, though, I’ve pretty much cleaned up all of OWB, meaning there’s not really anything left for me to do.

Now, I just have to wait for Lonesome Road.
