Android 2.2 (also known as Froyo – which makes me think it’s a hobbit), is turning into the Duke Nukem Forever of the Galaxy S world. It was finally due to hit in October, and some got it then – though mostly the Nordic countries as best I can tell. In Australia we were told November, around the mid teens. It’s now going on for late to very-late November.
Optus, who are the ones providing the update here, have since tweeted:
Froyo should be released by the end of the month, depending on testing, and will only be available via Kies – Holly
I really can’t help thinking it’ll be Early December next, or perhaps Next Year. Probably after Google has released 2.3 …
Cynical? Me? Heck yeah!
