Lately I’ve been using Vignette, instead of the default Android camera application.
Vignette takes a little longer to load up, and to process the pictures, but it is worth it. It allows you to take a photo, and play with various effects, crops and borders, which you can apply and save off as you like.
The thing that makes it special is the quality of the effects, and the fact that you can play with them on the fly. You can certainly just upload your photo to a PC and play with Photoshop or GIMP, but for out and about type photos, Vignette is my go-to app. Actually, it’s becoming my go-to app even when I have my DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex Camera) around, which might say something…
You can either use the built in effects, or mix and match a few of them through the custom menu.
I’ve included a few examples of the effects and frames you can add, including the ‘Vignette’ effect for which it’s named.
